How to keep brown sugar

Brown sugar can be a bit problematic because, when left unattended for long,
the moist sugar can quickly transform into a rock-like state.

This happens because the sugar dries out and the molasses used to keep it brown hardens and
sticks it together like glue.
Most brown sugars are white sugars, with molasses added caramel,
so the amount of water retained in brown sugars is higher than that of white sugars.

There are several ways to avoid this problem.
The easiest is by storing the soft sugar with a piece of orange(or other fruit) peel into your sugar container.
These fruit peel will gradually release moisture into the sugar and
also emit moisture onto any object they touch.

Even if your sugar has already hardened, you can use this way.
You'll have soft and fluffy sugar within 24hours.
(Of course you regularly change the peels)
